One of my fav animator's Blu, has created this trick outdoor animation, all painted by hand frame by frame. Love how he uses the outdoor environment to create the story.

If you only watch one 8-bit Lego animation today, make it 8-bit trip!

If you only watch one 8-bit Lego animation today, make it 8-bit trip!

Does 1500 hours of moving legobricks and taking photos of them sound like a crazy idea?

Not to the Swedish band Rymdreglage anyway. 8-Bit Trip is a stop motion LEGO video tribute to classic video games. It was created after 1,500 hours of work. The animation paid respect to everything from International Karate on a tape drive to Tetris on the NES, with Pong and Pac-Man in between.

Enjoy the 8bit ride

The Melbourne Writers Festival starts today with a campaign that dramatises how various writing styles collide, from genre to genre. With great use of typography styles and fonts to suit each genre, combine with colours and sounds this is a simple piece of work with a high quality impact.
